The Associate of Arts in Teaching is intended for students who are seeking teaching paraprofessional certification or who plan to transfer to a four-year institution to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Education and obtain licensure. The A.A.T. provides the foundational knowledge necessary to work with children in grades kindergarten through sixth. This degree is transferable to any four-year institution in the state of Arkansas and includes the required, 35-hour state minimum general education core.
